McLaren announce multi-year contract extension with Oscar Piastri
The McLaren Formula 1 Team has announced a multi-year extension of its winning partnership with Oscar Piastri which means that the Australian driver will continue in papaya for the long term. Oscar Piastri joined the British team in 2023 on a multi-year deal, which was quickly extended later that year to run until 2026. The Australian has continually impressed throughout his motorsport career, quickly rising through the junior ranks as Formula 2 and Formula 3 Champion, before winning a sprint race in his rookie season with McLaren, while also finishing on the podium in Japan and Qatar. In 2024, the 23-year-old Australian won the Hungarian and Azerbaijan Grands Prix, also achieving podiums...
