‘Breaking down egos': Lewis Hamilton opens up on failed Mercedes upgrades

2022 was a challenging year for seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton, as the British driver had to adjust to battling for top fives, rather than victories. This was as a result of Mercedes' woeful W13, the Germans first challenger of the new aerodynamic regulations. For the first part of the season, the Brackley-based outfit couldn't get any performance from the car, which suffered from horrific porpoising. However, as the season went on the car got much faster, to the point where they could challenge Red Bull and Ferrari.
