Fernando Alonso says Max Verstappen could be his next team-mate

Fernando Alonso appears to very much be Max Verstappen's number one fan, as the Spaniard spoke in-depth about the Dutchman ahead of Sunday's Mexican Grand Prix. The 41-year-old caused havoc in the paddock after stating that the Dutchman's two World Championships are 'worth more' than Lewis Hamilton's seven, hinting that their rivalry dating back to 2007 still hasn't fully died. Interestingly, Alonso then hit out at journalists for 'searching for headlines', despite the Spaniard having been quoted saying what he did as per De Telegraaf.
