Silverstone confirms no fans were injured in Zhou crash
The Silverstone Circuit has confirmed to Formula1News.co.uk that no fans were harmed during the scary incident involving Zhou Guanyu at the British Grand Prix. At the start of the race, George Russell and Pierre Gasly collided, sending the Mercedes into the back of the Alfa Romeo, flipping the car upside-down and into the gravel trap, where it dug in and flew over the top of the barrier and into the fence behind it. While that was going on, Williams’ Alex Albon braked to avoid the chaos happening in front of him, and he was hit by Sebastian Vettel as a result, sending him spearing off into the barrier.
