Hamilton faces competition from co-owner Mercedes in Chelsea takeover

Earlier this month, reports surfaced that Lewis Hamilton is looking to invest money in Chelsea football club along with tennis star Serena Williams. However, the Briton is facing opposition to the takeover of the club by the co-owner of Mercedes-AMG F1 team. Chelsea FC is currently up for sale after Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich stepped down due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. At the Imola Grand Prix, Hamilton confirmed his interest in taking over the club. The Briton reportedly put ten million pounds into the bid of British businessman Martin Broughton.
