Sainz gets apology: 'I apologized, of course'
Carlos Sainz once again failed to score points in the Grand Prix, but this time the Ferrari driver could do little about it. The current world championship number five was nudged by Daniel Ricciardo on the Imola circuit on the opening lap which immediately meant the end of his race. Ricciardo has since apologized to Sainz. At the lights out, the asphalt was still very damp and so the start was made on intermediates. The conditions were tricky and in the process Ricciardo ended up hitting the Spaniard.
