Mercedes welcome ruling, hope Red Bull will stop tarnishing Hamilton's name

Article To news overview © Red Bull Mercedes have welcomed the decision of the stewards not to revisit Lewis Hamilton's British GP penalty, with the team also hitting out at Red Bull management for their attempts to tarnish the Briton's name. A hearing took place at the Hungaroring on Thursday with representatives of both Red Bull and Mercedes present, as the Milton Keynes outfit presented new evidence in an attempt to have the crash revisited. After looking at the matter, the FIA deemed that the new elements presented were neither significant nor relevant to the matter. Mercedes have welcomed the ruling, but also hit out at Red Bull's senior management for their attempts to tarnish...
