Fire at Suzuka causes track stoppage for Super GT test

Article To news overview A small fire at Suzuka caused a temporary stoppage to private track testing for Super GT teams Nakajima Racing and Mugen on Wednesday. A fire broke out on the grass on the exit of Turn 1, heading into Turn 2, requiring the test to be stopped while circuit officials attended to the flames. There are no reports of any damage to any of the circuit's infrastructure, aside from burnt grass, and the track has since re-opened to continue with the test. The circuit is yet to issue a statement regarding the cause of the fire. The private test at the circuit is taking place ahead of the Super GT season opener, which takes place at the Okayama Circuit on the weekend of April...
