Alonso: ‘Opposite to Schumi, I've had inferior cars'

Fernando Alonso is hoping for a different outcome to his comeback to Michael Schumacher, saying they went in different directions. Schumacher quit Formula 1 at the end of the 2006 season, saying farewell to both the sport and Ferrari. He was, however, still fighting the Drivers' Championship in his final season with the Scuderia, losing to Alonso by 134 points to 121. He returned to the sport in 2010, signing with Mercedes. Those three years, though, yielded just one podium result for the seven-time World Champion leaving many of his fans disappointed. Alonso hopes it is the other way around for him.
