Ferrari mechanic suffers suspected leg fracture in Raikkonen accident

A Ferrari mechanic has sustained a suspected shinbone and fibula fracture after being hit by Kimi Raikkonen in a pit stop accident during the Bahrain Grand Prix, Ferrari has confirmed. At the end of lap 34 Raikkonen pitted for his second stop during the Bahrain race but an issue with his pit stop saw the Finnish driver forced out of the race having been running in third place. Raikkonen’s Ferrari pit crew had a problem with detaching the rear-left wheel on his SF71H, with his old soft tyre still attached while the other three wheels were changed. A pit stop procedure error saw the Finnish driver given the green light to exit the pit but it triggered a collision with his pit crew who...
