Ferrari decide to snub eSports series
Formula 1 will be without Ferrari in one respect this year after the Scuderia opted not to take part in the eSport series. All the other nine teams have signed up for the second season, which begins on April 13, and the world's top professional F1 gamers will be sorted into their respective teams following a qualification process. Last year's inaugural series, won by Brit Brendon Leigh, was considered a success by Liberty, who have identified eSports as a huge opportunity to attract the younger generation to the sport. The prize fund for this year's winner is a whopping $200,000, but nobody will be winning in Ferrari colours yet again as they decided not to enter the competition.
