Formula E releases first images of striking second generation car

The ABB FIA Formula E Championship has released the first digital images of its second-generation car, named Gen2. The car was teased through a series of social media images, which depicted a Halo featuring LED lights, as well as a large rear diffuser. The Gen2 will be formally unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show on March 6, and will make its racing debut at the beginning of the 2018/19 season, which will be the first season of the all-electric series without mid-race car swaps. Spark Racing Technology won the tender to design the new chassis and will be powered by a new battery from McLaren Applied Technologies, taking over from current supplied Williams Advanced Engineering. “This car...
