Ricciardo expects fair fight despite Verstappen's new deal

Daniel Ricciardo expects a fair fight with Max Verstappen in 2018 despite his Red Bull Formula 1 teammate having already committed to a new contract. Verstappen penned a new deal to remain at the team until the end of 2020, with boss Christian Horner having previously called on him to stay long-term and build the team around him. Ricciardo, whose current contract expires at the end of the 2018 F1 season, has said he will take time to make a decision on the future, with potential seats on offer at Mercedes and Ferrari in 2019.
