Russell gets FP1 run-out with Force India in Brazil

Mercedes Formula 1 youngster and GP3 champion George Russell will make his grand prix practice debut at Interlagos this weekend after being handed an FP1 run-out by Force India. Russell, 19, made his first F1 appearance during the post-Hungarian Grand Prix test with Mercedes, having combined his position on its junior roster with a full-season campaign in GP3 where he clinched the title in Jerez last month. Force India wrapped up fourth place in the constructors' championship at the last race in Mexico, giving it the freedom to make more changes for the final two races of the season, including the availability to run Friday drivers.
