Ferrari adds British racer Callum Ilott to young driver scheme

Ferrari has recruited British youngster Callum Ilott as the latest member of its Driver Academy. Ilott was a member of Red Bull’s scheme during his inaugural Formula 3 campaign in 2015, straight out of karting, but was dropped at the end of the year. Ilott stayed in Formula 3 and this season placed fourth overall, taking sixth wins, while competing for Prema Powerteam. “It's a massive opportunity, thanks to everyone for making this happen,” 18-year-old Ilott posted on social media.
