Ferrari stays most popular team, Mercedes makes big gains

Ferrari's return to competitiveness in Formula 1 has helped lead to a growth in support of the outfit, with the team being voted the most popular on the grid by fans. The official results from the F1 Global Fan Survey conducted by Motorsport.com have shown that Ferrari has extended its advantage as the most liked team. Ferrari has been F1's most popular team since 2010, but what is more significant this year is the scale of its support. It was backed by 31.9 percent of those surveyed, which is approximately twice as much as its nearest rivals.
