Pirelli says true degradation will be seen this week

Pirelli thinks the first proper indication of tyre degradation levels in Formula 1 this season will only come from this week's final pre-season test, when teams start pushing for more representative laptimes. F1's official tyre supplier has been tasked with creating rubber that will allow drivers to push harder in races, and the early characteristics from last week's running at Barcelona suggests that degradation has been reduced dramatically.
