Exhaust issue causes more problems for Ricciardo

Barcelona Testing – Daniel Ricciardo was kept in the garage for most of Wednesday afternoon by an exhaust issue on his RB13. The Australian suffered a crankshaft and battery failure on Monday which caused him to stop on track, and more issues showed their hand on his second day in the car. “This afternoon we found a problem with the exhaust,” Ricciardo said. “We had check that, which took some time, but before that we had a pretty good run of nearly 20 laps, which was important for understanding the tyres.” While Ricciardo only managed 23 laps in the afternoon session, he had a highly productive morning covering 47 laps of aerodynamic and tyre tests. “I definitely learned more...
