Lowe to take up Williams role next month

Former Mercedes man Paddy Lowe will join Williams as early as next month, after his current spate of ‘gardening leave' concludes. Lowe played a key role in Mercedes' run of championship doubles as the Brackley squad dominated the sport under his tenure as technical director. However, the Brit left the team three weeks ago and was placed on ‘gardening leave'. According to reports, Mercedes have agreed terms with Williams that will see them reduce Lowe's time away from Formula 1 allowing him to join Williams as early as March 1st.
