Max Verstappen picks up two awards at FIA prize giving gala

Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen picked up two awards at the FIA’s prize giving gala in Vienna, Austria, on Friday night. The Dutch teenager enjoyed a successful second season in Formula 1, which involved a change of teams after four rounds. Between the Russian and Spanish F1 rounds, he was promoted from Toro Rosso to Red Bull, winning the next race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. He finished fifth in the 2016 drivers’ standings with one win and six further podiums. At the FIA’s annual gala, he picked up ‘Personality of the Year’ for the second year in a row.
