Daniil Kvyat: 'P14 is the most we could achieve today”

Scuderia Toro Rosso’s Daniil Kvyat made it into the second segment in Saturday’s qualifying of the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos – but could only manage a starting position of fourteenth, a position he did not feel he could have bettered. “A decent qualifying,” commented the Russian, “I don’t think there was any more we could extract from the car and a P14 is the most we could achieve today.” Kvyat appeared pleased with his driving, and attributed the lower starting position to the balance of the car and the weather conditions – which are notoriously interchangeable in Brazil. “My Q2 lap was quite clean in these tricky conditions – there was a lot of wind and it...
