Perez drops sponsor over Trump tweet

Sergio Perez has dropped his personal sponsor, the sunglasses manufacturer Hawkers, after a controversial tweet it made following Donald Trump's US election victory. The Force India driver was outraged when Hawkers tweeted that Mexican citizens might use its sunglasses in order not to show their 'crying eyes tomorrow when you are building the wall' a reference to comments made by Donald Trump during what was one of the most bitter election battles of recent times. 'Really bad comment,' responded Perez via Twitter. 'Today I am breaking my relationship with @HawkersMX. I will never let anyone make fun of my country.'
