Hamilton happy to claw back lap time

ewis Hamilton insists he was happy to close the gap to Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg, despite missing out on pole position at the Japanese Grand Prix.Rosberg topped all three practice sessions at Suzuka, with Hamilton down in seventh on Saturday morning after running wide at the second Degner corner.Hamilton trailed Rosberg in Q1 and Q2 but claimed provisional pole, before ultimately missing out by just 0.013s as both drivers improved on their final runs."I'm happy with qualifying," said Hamilton, who trails Rosberg by 23 points."It's been a weekend of a lot of work going on to get the car set-up right, some big changes went into qualifying."Considering that, to be...
