Hamilton strikes back in FP2

Malaysian Grand Prix – Lewis Hamilton struck back in the battle with his team mate Nico Rosberg by going fastest in FP2. Sebastian Vettel was third. His time of 1:34.944 was two tenths quicker than Rosberg. The Briton was also faster during the first runs of the session, during which Hamilton used the hard tyre whereas Rosberg used the medium. Still, the reigning world champion was six tenths quicker. Roasting hot track temperatures as high as 58°C meant there was very little mechanical grip coming from the freshly laid track surface, with several drivers struggling for rear grip and locking up into the reprofiled final corner.
