Ferrari confirms aero department reshuffle

Ferrari has confirmed a restructuring of its aerodynamics department, with former GT specialist Enrico Cardile being moved across to the F1 team. In the wake of a mid-season analysis by Ferrari president Sergio Marchionne about the strengths and weaknesses of the team, there was a view that the Scuderia needed to push more with the talent it had within its organisation. A subsequent restructure in the wake of the departure of technical director James Allison has seen a move away from big star names and more responsibility given to exploiting homegrown staff – with processes that allow more input from factory floor staff.
