Rosberg to run Halo at Spa

Although Formula 1 has decided to delay Halo until 2018, Nico Rosberg will run the cockpit protection device at Spa on Friday. According to Motorsport.com, the German will run the device at the start of Friday free practice at Spa-Francorchamps. The FIA is hoping that Rosberg's lap, or even laps, will give them a better idea of Halo's visibility limitations. Earlier this year, Formula 1 agreed to delay the introduction of Halo – or any other cockpit protection – until 2018 in order to get in more testing and development. To date only Ferrari and Red Bull have trialed Halo, amassing a total of four laps out on track.
