Verstappen plays down gap to Ricciardo

Max Verstappen says a mistake in the final sector of the Hungaroring during second free practice can explain the sizeable 0.7s deficit to Red Bull Racing team-mate, adding he can easily make up ground again before qualifying. The Dutchman – who scored podium results last time out in Austria and Great Britain – ended his Friday in a strong fourth position but a sizeable margin adrift of team-mate Ricciardo.
