Alonso confident for last-gasp title attempt

Fernando Alonso remains confident of his chances for a third world title next year with McLaren-Honda following the major rule changes.  The Spaniard admitted both McLaren's and his aims hasn't changed despite a huge performance slump throughout 2015 and the ultimate aim for both parties is to win the world championship in 2017. Following McLaren's record-poor run of results last year, the Woking base has shown a clear improvement this year; having taken part in Q3 and scored points on a regular basis – however it must be noted the team are nowhere near the class needed to fight out-front for a world championship.
