Alonso: ‘We need to keep developing'

Canadian Grand Prix – Whilst Fernando Alonso claims he is pleased with the Monaco Grand Prix result, he has called on McLaren to maintain their development push. In Monaco, Fernando Alonso managed to claim McLaren's best result of the season with a fifth place finish in the changeable conditions. Jenson Button's ninth place finish also ensured the Woking team took their best points total of the season with 12 points. The result moved them ahead of Haas F1 into seventh place in the constructors' championship. However, after McLaren's disappointment with their overall pace in Monaco, Alonso has called on the team to keep up the development push in a bid to move further up the field....
