Verstappen crashes out of Monaco GP qualifying

Max Verstappen will start the Monaco Grand Prix from the back of the grid after dramatically crashing out of qualifying. Following his sensational win in the Spanish Grand Prix on his debut with the Red Bull Racing team, hopes were high for Verstappen in Monaco driving a car well suited to the street venue. However, having been fifth fastest in final practice, Verstappen would progress no further than Q1 when he crashed out at turn 15, prompted by him clipping the inside barrier, breaking his right-front suspension and sliding into the opposing wall.
