Wolff: Hamilton apologised; Rosberg had wrong setting

Spanish Grand Prix – Mercedes boss Toto Wolff says that Lewis Hamilton apologised at the team debrief for the accident that removed both cars from the race. Speaking to the press after the race that saw both Mercedes collide while duelling on the first lap, Wolff said that the team have lost a 'potentially great result'. Explaining the incident, he said that Rosberg had a setting wrong on his steering wheel that allowed Hamilton to come back at him after jumping past the pole-sitter into Turn 1. 'Nico was in the wrong setting, he had less energy than Lewis. It explains the discrepancy in speed, but they needed to make a decision in a split second that resulted in Lewis hitting Nico....
