Hamilton escapes with reprimand for disobeying rules on T2 Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton gets a reprimand for not following the correct racing-line when rejoining the track following his off in Turn Two in qualifying Q1. After first runs in Q1, the Brit under investigation by Stewards for not following instructions on Turn 2, Race Director’s notes issued on Thursday. “Any driver who fails to negotiate Turn Two by using the track, and who passes completely to the left of the red and white kerb element of the apex, will be reported to the stewards if he is suspected of having gained an advantage from doing so.” Stewards statement The Stewards, having received a report from the...
