Vettel hopeful of race-day fight back
– Sebastian Vettel is hopeful of recovering lost ground during the Russian Grand Prix after dropping down the grid for a gearbox change.Vettel qualifed second to Mercedes' Nico Rosberg during Saturday afternoon's session at Sochi Autodrom, but falls down to seventh place.Despite the setback, Vettel reckons he will have the pace to pick off cars during the race, from what he felt during practice simulations."I'd like the gap to [pole position to] be a bit smaller," Vettel admitted, having finished seven tenths down on Rosberg in Q3."But Nico in particular put a very strong lap in, so it was a good job from his side."I wasn't sure about Lewis [Hamilton's] problem,...
