F1 chiefs reach engine rule agreement for 2017

The Formula 1 team bosses have come to a conclusion for the engine rules that will be put forward from the 2017 season, all the way until the end of the 2020 Formula 1 season.  For the past year, talks have been underway regarding the direction of the sport in F1, and after many deadline extensions, the team bosses, drivers, FIA, CVC and other critical parties failed to come a conclusion, due to their different interests in the sport. FIA gave the big engine manufacturers the homework to find a solution to produce lower-cost engines with a more even performance for 2017.
