Alonso: Why I'm still No 1

A defiant Fernando Alonso claims he would beat any driver if he was in a similar car and still harbours hopes of landing a third world title. Alonso hasn't won a championship since consecutive triumphs with Renault 10 years ago and his decision to join McLaren last season has backfired so far, with the Woking team struggling to recreate past glories with Honda. The Spaniard, whose start to 2016 was disrupted after a huge crash at the Australian GP, has managed a best finish of fifth during his second spell with McLaren.
