Hamilton Bolts to Bahraini Pole

LEWIS HAMILTON has taken pole in a last-minute effort ahead of the Bahrain GP. After an initial mistake in his first run, the champion was on fire and edged out his Rosberg for the first time this weekend. Behind the Mercs, the Ferrari cars of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen ended up over half a second adrift. They will start 3rd and 4th respectively. Elsewhere, it was an impressive evening for the rookies: Stoffel Vandoorne out-qualified veteran team-mate Jenson Button and Pascal Wehrlein put in a time that will see him line up 16th for Manor.
