FIA: Red flags in qualifying 'just bad luck'

– Formula 1 Race Director Charlie Whiting says it will be "bad luck" if a driver is eliminated from the sport's new live knockout qualifying session due to a red flag period.Under revised regulations, drivers will be eliminated from Q1, Q2 and Q3 at 90 second intervals after seven, six and five minutes respectively in each session.While the clock will be stopped in the event of a red flag, drivers on the brink of being knocked out would not have sufficient time to begin, let alone complete, a lap before the next 90 second stage passes, effectively eliminating them on the spot.Whiting says there will be no leeway for drivers caught out by a red flag period, with the first...
