McLaren: Vandoorne to be ready in 2017
– McLaren's Ron Dennis says he expects reserve driver Stoffel Vandoorne "to be ready" for a Formula 1 graduation with the team in 2017, should a seat become available.Vandoorne, who turns 24 next week, has been a member of McLaren's young driver programme for three years, and last season stormed to the GP2 championship crown.But with World Champion drivers Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button contracted for the 2016 campaign, there was no room for a promotion, leaving him in a back-up role."He has always been intelligent, but to that intelligence he has recently added a level of wisdom unusual in one so young," Dennis explained in an interview with the official...
