Magnussen determined to ‘prove worth'

Back in Formula 1 after a year on the sidelines, Kevin Magnussen says he has 'many points' to prove when he lines up on the Melbourne grid with Renault. Magnussen parted ways with McLaren last season after spending the year as the Woking team's test driver, bumped down to the role after they opted to retain Jenson Button as Fernando Alonso's team-mate. With his Formula 1 career in jeopardy, Magnussen was handed a lifeline by Renault who signed him just days after dropping Pastor Maldonado.
