Wehrlein is key reference for Manor with Mercedes
Manor's racing director Dave Ryan says Pascal Wehrlein's experience in the Mercedes F1 car is key for his team to understand and develop its MRT05. The British team has switched to Mercedes power units along with Williams supplying its transmission for 2016 and with a refreshed setup the team spent the majority of pre-season testing familiarising itself with its new components. Ryan, a former McLaren chief, says securing Wehrlein's services has been vital to get a better and quicker understanding of the Mercedes engine.
