McLaren-Honda on way back to podium: Alonso Following the second and final pre-season test, Fernando Alonso claims that McLaren are making step towards a podium finish again. McLaren-Honda tested two variants of their 2016 F1 engine across the two tests and following the testing Honda’s new F1 chief Yusuke Hasegawa confirmed the final specification had now been homologated for the Australian Grand Prix, describing it as a 'good start point'. It is clear now McLaren are in better shape than they were in 2015. Improved reliability has been the most welcome boost.
