Alonso says new Honda power unit 'definitely' more powerful

McLaren's Fernando Alonso has hailed progress made by Honda over the winter break, saying that he can feel more power from the new power unit. Alonso, who was quite vocal about the 2015 Honda engine's shortcomings on several occasions last year, was speaking to media during testing at Barcelona's Circuit De Catalunya. Asked about whether he could feel improvements on the power front over the winter break, he replied: 'Definitely more power…but I had no doubts about that. The starting point with the power, and the deficit we had last year to the top teams was too high. We have improved all areas of the car.'
