Haryanto to Manor decision expected ‘this week'

Rio Haryanto's immediate Formula One future will become clearer next week, according to those involved with his bid to secure a drive at the Manor team. The GP2 driver is one of several candidates who are linked with a drive at the Manor team for 2016, the only remaining seats on the grid. Despite backing from oil company Pertamina and the Indonesian Youth and Sports Ministry, Haryanto is reportedly short of funding for a seat at the team, with previous reports suggesting that around $15m was available for the 23-year-old. “We would like to express our gratitude to the government — Pertamina and State-Owned Enterprises [Ministry] — which has been very supportive of Rio reaching...
