Todt and Ecclestone to control key F1 issues

The World Motor Sport Council has revealed that the president of the FIA, Jean Todt, and Formula One's commercial rights holder, Bernie Ecclestone, are to make recommendations and decisions on key issues in Formula One. Both Todt and Ecclestone will make ‘recommendations and decisions' regarding the issues facing Formula One; the governance, power units and cost reduction. Attempts have been made for engine manufacturers to come to an agreement on the direction of the sport's power unit supply, with recent proposals aimed at introducing a lower-budget unit being rejected by the four current suppliers.
