Renault won't delay name change

Renault will apply to change Lotus' name to that of the French manufacturer as soon as their take-over of the team is complete. Lotus previously ran under the Renault name before the company sold the team to Genii Capital in 2009. But with Renault now poised to buy back the team, the Lotus name will make way for the Renault branding. 'It will be for 2016,' Renault F1 managing director Cyril Abiteboul told Motorsport.com.
