Ferrari defends use of historic veto

– Ferrari Team Principal Maurizio Arrivabene has defended its use of a historic veto to oppose plans to limit the price customer outfits have to pay for Formula 1's 1.6 litre V6 power units.The power units were introduced at the start of 2014 and the sport has been keen to reduce costs, though Ferrari the historic veto which it has under commercial agreements to reject the proposals.The FIA has since begun to investigate whether a 'client engine' could be introduced for 2017 as a cheaper alternative but Arrivabene has defended the use of Ferrari's veto."Concerning the veto it is quite easy," he explained.
