Ricciardo: Renault update probably not worth taking
Red Bull Racing driver Daniel Ricciardo says the power unit update Renault has brought to the United States Grand Prix is 'probably not worth taking'. The engine supplier has used up some of its development tokens ahead of the 16th round of the 2015 season but, according to Ricciardo, it is not worth fitting the upgrade. Renault's V6 Turbo power unit has once again lacked the reliability and speed of rivals Mercedes and Ferrari. Despite making improvements, Ricciardo says running the engine would still not justify the resulting penalties.
