Valtteri Bottas escapes penalty to qualify P7

Singapore Grand Prix – Williams F1 Team's Valtteri Bottas was investigated after qualifying for an unsafe release from the pitlane, but was allowed to keep his P7 grid slot. Williams had a quiet Friday, as they have done throughout most of 2015 so far. With the team struggling on the Monte Carlo circuit back in May, all eyes were on the FW37 for qualifying and whether the team could manage to get into the top ten. In the end, both managed to do so but were left sweating after qualifying due to an unsafe release for Valtteri Bottas. Bottas was released into the path of Marcus Ericsson during Q1 and a representative from Williams was summonsed before the stewards to explain. The...
