Pirelli to issue clearer tyre guidelines to teams
Pirelli aims to provide Formula 1 teams with more detailed information regarding tyre usage ahead of this weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix. Tyres were at the centre of controversy in Monza when Mercedes were summoned to the stewards post race after claims the tyres fitted to its cars were under the specified 19.5 PSI rating when measured on the grid. Lewis Hamilton’s Italian Grand Prix victory was placed in doubt before stewards later cleared Mercedes of any wrongdoing, after the team proved the tyres were of the correct PSI rating when fitted to the cars. In a bid to avoid a repeat of the incident, Pirelli boss Paul Hembery has confirmed the Italian manufacturer will work with the FIA...
