Melbourne secure F1 race until 2023

The city of Melbourne has secured the Australian Grand Prix until 2023, beating off competition from challengers Sydney. During the New South Wales election campaign earlier this year, candidate Mike Baird announced in March that if he was elected, he would be bringing the Australian Grand Prix to the city of Sydney, with initial plans being developed on the circuit layout, which included racing cars across the Harbour Bridge. However, in a tongue-in-cheek response via Facebook, Victoria's Premier Daniel Andrews revealed that the Australian Grand Prix will remain in Melbourne until 2023.
